For the past 9 years, I’ve worked as a Principal Systems Architect and hands-on Backend Engineer designing and building high-throughput and data-intensive systems all the way from the schema through to the automated deployment pipeline. I specialize in TypeScript/Node.js, distributed systems resilience, and asynchronous REST API architecture, with an emphasis performance and cost optimization.

My approach bridges complex business logic with high-performance execution, translating ambiguous stakeholder requirements into secure and well-designed systems. I have deep expertise in hybrid infrastructure (Cloud & Bare-Metal Linux) and secure, self-hosted environments, allowing me to build secure and extensible data pipelines. Right now, I’m focused on building scalable backend APIs, reliable background worker queues, and pipelines for running AI models.

AI & Distributed Systems Architecture (SpeechWeave): Architected an asynchronous Speech-to-Text and LLM inference engine with an OpenAI-compatible API, serving as the core processing backbone for client audio pipelines and client applications like PulseJot. Engineered a cost and latency-aware distributed scheduler (Node.js) that dynamically routes workloads across GPU workers running open-weights models. Secured the infrastructure via an isolated, egress-only private worker mesh with zero inbound public exposure. Designed the platform around strict Zero Data Retention (ZDR) and ephemeral in-memory audio handling, aligning technical safeguards with healthcare and enterprise privacy standards.
Legacy Modernization & APIs: Successfully migrated high-concurrency reporting bottlenecks out of legacy PHP monoliths into highly performant Node.js microservices. Engineered secure, high-throughput REST APIs for B2B financial platforms and live telecom Call Detail Records.
Data Engineering & ETL Pipelines: Designed automated ETL pipelines to ingest, parse, and normalize high-volume, disparate data streams (including continuous MLS real estate feeds, nested XML telecom events, and batch CDRs). Architected the backend relational database logic and composite indexing strategy for complex spatial and filtered search queries.
Cloud DevOps & Infrastructure: Modernized deployment infrastructure by architecting automated CI/CD pipelines via GCP Cloud Build and custom containerized deployments, enabling zero-downtime live hotfixes and resilient system monitoring via Vue.js dashboards.
Full-Stack Enterprise Solutions: Engineered an end-to-end custom EdTech CRM and client portal, utilizing Vue.js for the dynamic frontend and Node.js/Express for the backend. Architected automated financial calculations, dynamic PDF generation, and asynchronous task queues to eliminate manual administrative bottlenecks.
